Description

Our new year-round centre is located in two elegant Georgian buildings in the impressive Merrion Square just a few minutes’ walk from the renowned Trinity College and the pedestrianised shopping district of Grafton Street.

Merrion Square is home to some of Ireland’s best Georgian architecture, surrounded on three sides by impressive Georgian townhouses with the fourth side containing Government Buildings, the Natural History Museum, Leinster House (Parliament building) and the National Gallery of Ireland.
Incorporating modern facilities within the magnifcent classical architecture of the Georgian period, our new school offers the advantages of a city-centre location within a unique setting overlooking the beautiful gardens of Merrion Square.

    Both schools worked well!

Off-season English School Emerald Cultural Institute Merrion Square — language school in Ireland

2 Merrion Square North, Dublin 2, Ireland

Spring program English + Excursions 1 week in Ireland + 1 week in England

Finally had a few minutes to share my impressions. I'm in telegraph style: briefly.

    1. Both schools worked well. Meeting, seeing off, organizing classes, everything is great. As an adult student I liked the classes in CES England more than in Ireland. But that is a matter of taste. She found it a bit boring at Emerald. Children everywhere liked the lessons, they were interesting. In England the plus is the individual commentary at the end of lessons. In Ireland I asked for one myself and they sent it. It's a big deal for the kids. They discussed comments and grades with such passion!

    2. Documents: in Dublin, they didn't even ask for the forms that parents filled out.

    3. Families: it was very good to settle everyone individually in England. Invaluable experience. The children benefited. The only thing, some families cluelessly explained the way to school. I myself scouted everything and showed the children a more comfortable way. In general, all families were good. The worst one was mine. My aunt tried to cook, but I haven't eaten anything but lunch since the second day. Inedible. But I had breakfast and dinner in a pub, very cheap and tasty. In Dublin, everything is fine. Families are close to the bus stop. The girls are all super. The boys' food was a bit weak.

    4. Learning in open groups is great. Misha and Zakhar were so inspirational about the guys there and how sorry they were to break up.

    5. Thanks to Emerald, they always go out of their way to help us and we got all the classes we paid for. As always the staff is friendly, smiling and the kids were comfortable.

    6. The highest estimation of our work I consider the words of one of the girls who told me every morning: "Olga Ivanovna, I am so happy here."

    7. Concerning your work. I liked your initiative and willingness to give us additional services! I mean the offer of individual accommodation and studying in open groups. We did not have that before.
Bottom line, everything worked out great. The group was so independent, talking, let them go everywhere and they were very happy.
For next spring we are planning to go to England and Scotland.
    Thank you for your work.
I hope we will be working together again in October.
