Program description and what is included

The school's English course is 15 hours a week. Prior to arrival, online students take an introductory language test, then they are divided into groups of a maximum of 15 students per class. Teaching materials are designed with a focus on pronunciation and vocabulary. Classes take place in the morning hours. Teachers include paired and group projects to develop communication, cooperation and teamwork skills. There are study rooms, computer rooms and a recreation centre with a theatre and cinema. At the end of the course students will receive a certificate. All levels are available.

Description

The PLUS Language Centre offers students to spend a few summer weeks at the University of Stirling. The city is located in central Scotland, a 45-minute drive from Edinburgh. The architecture of Stirling intertwines past and present, with modern art galleries and cafés in the narrow, cobbled streets. The university campus is one of the most beautiful in the world. It includes the historic Airthrey Castle building, a lake and large park. The area is recognised as one of Britain's 20 architectural heritage sites. And the university is one of the top-ranked universities in the humanities and social sciences.

After studying you can relax in the common room and have lunch. Sport is no exception, with tennis courts, jogging tracks, a dance and fitness studio, football pitch and a 50m swimming pool on site. Don't forget to take a walk around the park and walk to the small lake! For an additional fee and with a B1 level you can also attend a management course which teaches basic sales and marketing. At the weekend students go on a full day trip to explore the Scottish capital. In the evenings there are original films, monopoly and discos.

Children are accommodated in single rooms on campus with private facilities. The school is a couple of minutes' walk away. The university cafeteria serves hot lunch, breakfast and dinner. Lunch packs are available for trips. There are cafés, restaurants, a theatre and a cinema on campus.
